And LOL at them turning this into a mental illness case and "we need to pay more attention and address mental illness much more often in this state and country blah blah blah etc etc" what a crock. I'm sure it also has NOTHING to do with the dindu music he listens to in his ipod that glorifies this behavior.

One good thing about it. In scandinavia, where " for life " sentence basically is 12 years. These scum can still be locked in to an mental institution for life.

Thing is though. All kinds of preventive mental care has been cut down by, I guess almost every, goverment.

The kid's mother is a white trash piece of shit named Amy Millsaps, if you look her up, she's got a giant police record of her own. I can't find the screen caps, but when this first happened, she was on facebook playing the "didn't do nothing" card, and claiming they went extra hard on him.

And I may be incorrect but 'mental issues' do seem to be the lawyer's  line of defense for obviously guilty parties.

None of you GetBiggers may remember this, but society used to lock up such 'nental individuals' in mental institutions (often called "Nut Houses") but I think it wad Ronald Regan who put an end to that and released them all.

To be fair to Reagan, he was under pressure from mental health and the patient's rights movements to close them down. And that pressure started started way before him, back in the mid 60's at least, and just got stronger.
