Nose hair
« on: August 15, 2016, 06:17:51 PM »
How do you guys deal with it? Mid thirties and it's been coming on strong for the last few years. I pluck or pull them, but then it seems as though I get allergies ( I assume because the intended reason the hairs being there from an evolutional standpoint).  They also grow very fast. It's crazy, cut me down and more pop up the next day. It seems they grow almost as fast as facial hair. Do y'all cut and trim, pluck, wax?

It's possible that your getting germs in your nose from using your fingers to pluck and pull. And if you are using tweezers etc, dip them in rubbing alcohol before you use them. Same with fingers, tiny scissors and electric nose cutters. Clean before every use.

Hair/bear clippers can be eased in on the corner and can be an effective nose hair trimmer...

this.

don't use electric ones. Just rip it out with a pincer or it think it's called forceps. You'll soon enjoy it as much as i do. Especially if you are doing this every morning with great care and then all of a sudden you find a huge one which must've grown since months. How did that bastard escape

Your best bet is to buy a pair of these facial scissors.

I have a virtual forest growing out of my nose. Besides looking ugly, they itch because they grow long enough to poke the other side of my nostril. -Bad news, the older one gets the more irritating they become.

I only wish the hairs on the top of my head grew as profusely and rapidly.  :)

Recently hair is growing not only inside the nose, but also on the outside. Not so rapidly though.

I've got a full head of hair broseph, they still use thinning shears when they cut it. At 35, I think I'll hold on to whatever I've got.

Don't pluck, can lead to infections apparently. I use a trimmer.

I used to wax.  If you want to do it then be sure to get the stuff that's rock hard and doesn't require gauze or whatever voodoo they use on women's crotches.  If it's hard in the pot (that you nuke to soften), that's the stuff.  Blow your nose, wash your nose, dry your nose, make sure it's clean.  Unclean when plucking is what causes mild infection.  Use a qtip to apply talcum powder in there past where you propose to wax.  Use another qtip to get the wax in.  Smear liberally while twirling.  Work it into the nooks but don't go deep into the nostril because it'll be a fucker to extract.  Do it over the sink or paper towels because you're gonna drip as a newb.  Hang around hoping no one sees you.  When it's cooled and hard a minute or two later use tweezers to get under an edge and pry it out.  It's a real piece of artwork and you'll be very proud of it.

Upside: Zero stubble.  100% effective.

Downside: It's a production, obviously, and it hurts.  Also need to let enough grow back for the wax to get purchase on.

These days I just trim.  I rounded the sharp point on some cheap small scissors and they work just fine.  Gets closer than an electric would imo.

Don't be so confident there mojumbo. I had a THICK full head of hair and then at 36 it started to thin on top pretty much overnight and has continued to so (I'm 38 now). Sweet dreams sweetheart.  :-*

Yup, didn't hit me until 36. I'm 38 now (been a tough couple of years losing my only recent thick full head of hair).
