The built a top notch training facility for the last Olympics.  They have what's needed to get their athletes in shape.  If you notice.  Australia and China are doing well.  Countries that previously hosted build all the needed infrastructure for athletes for years to come

It's one of those sports that gets a lot of funding in the UK - as does rowing, swimming and gymnastics.

Brits do not dominate that much.
Dutch women road race: Gold for Holland, best Britt 5th
Dutch women time trial: Bronze for Holland, best Brit 14th

Men road race: 1st Belgium, no Brit medal
Men time trial: 1st Swiss, 2nd Dutch, 3rd Brit

Keirin women: Dutch Gold.

Rest I don't recall right now, but GB doesn't dominate cycling at all...

Yeah, Simone is untouchable but Britain is currently only behind the US in gymnastics - which is an impressive achievement.

They have six Golds in cycling. U.S, the medal leader, has none.

All countries higher than Holland got 60+ million inhabitants. Holland got 16 or 17 million.
So what country is really at the top ?

Jamaica has 3 million and won both the men's and women's 100m Gold.

Kenya 40 million has more track and field Golds than the U.S or England.

The U.S Golds have been mostly in swimming.

Basically, certain countries specialize in certain events.

It doesn't matter who has the biggest population. Youre comparing apples to apples when it comes to the olympics. You either have the best athletes or you don't. Whether the country has 50 million people or 15 million people, the best will shine through, no matter where they are from.

Lot's of articles about their testing policy or lack there of.

"Craig Reedie will become the first WADA president to visit Jamaica, which came under scrutiny following revelations of a complete lack of out-of-competition testing among Usain Bolt and other star athletes in the months before the 2012 London Olympics."

It's catching up to them.

Not at all and it's also easy to see where US athletes have failed tests and had medals stripped etc.  US and other countries like Canada and the UK have had to be more careful while Jamaica had a free ride.  Look at their percent of track medals vs population. In 2013 they had six positives and their anti-doping board resigned.

They are now retesting samples as far back as 08 and it may cost them a relay gold.

US used to dominate T&F. And let's not forget all the foreign athletes that train in the US, but rep their countries.

Ain't nobody gonna mention Gatlin's tricep? What's his routine for arms?
