He would have ran in sweatpants, as he's currently hiding his legs.

Levrone and Flintstones would make a good relay team.

Ben Johnson states at his peak he'd beat Bolt. No doubt.

I absolutely agree.

Ben's absolute best was still to come when the powers-that-be robbed him of his medal and ruined his competitive life.

Left to train unhindered, Johnson, in a hypocritical match-up, would leave Bolt in his dust. Dude was simply astounding.

Remember, his time at the '88 Olympics, while a c unt hair slower than Bolt's best, was faster than what Bolt ran in Rio. And Johnson was still accelerating when he chose to raise his arm and turn his head, dramatically slowing.

Ben rules.

ben ran 9.79

bolt 9.58

two tenths of second is a big big difference

in bens defense it took 20 years  after 1988 for someone to run 9.79 again

and bolt ran 9.81 few days ago.

johnson was so far ahead of his time. its a shame we never saw what he was truly capable of.

Tracks are faster too. Harder.
Somewhere was a diagram about it. While a ago.
If the tracks are graded from 1-100. Hundred being soft and one hard.

Tokyo, where Ben ran his record was around 60.
Now, as speed events have gained popularity from endurance events the tracks are being made harder.

When that old 9,79 was equalled the tracks were already around 40 on that scale.

Bolt runs in tracks around 20. Endurance athletes complain about this since they suffer lot more minos stress fractures etc. But nobody cares for people will come to see speed.

This would have reduced Bens' old time a lot. Maybe not 2 tenths, but significally anyway.

This.

The tracks were sped up in order for Johnson's record to get beaten.

This. His fastest is lightyears ahead of Johnson in track time. Bolt is so far ahead of his competition he doesn't even try most of the time. It would be interesting to have someone somewhat competitive to Bolt to push him to go even faster potentially. Must be hard being so far ahead of everyone and trying to push yourself. Nothing to gauge yourself with.

As I say, left to train, Ben, transported to 2016, would destroy "Bolt". Oh, brother.

Ben would probably run 10.5 and beaten Bolt's best. He was still improving and the tracks have been sped up.

Bolt ran his best of 9.58 at what age? Ben was 26 in 1988 and still improving. Better training and less reliance on PED's than Bolt?

He was also a lot faster out of the blocks than Bolt would have been hard to run down.

Oh I forgot Bolt's natural  ::). They both used PED's, why hasn't Bolt improved in many years and Ben was still improving. It's not more drugs because Bolt's not exactly laying off it.

Who said he's natural

I just like your assumption that he is "less reliance on PED's than Bolt"

I love these what if's that people talk about

Here's something; no he'll never beat bolt past or present
