JC Van Damme was a fairly good friend of ONLY ME, so I hope that this show does well ,,,,, but I saw the first episode on Amazon Prime and didn't like it too very much.
Back in 2008 he did manage to receive a number of excellent acting revues for a movie called JCVD in which he played a guy (himself?) who gets involved in a bank robbery with a hostage situation and reflects about his life during it.
Good film with pretty great acting on his part.
Another movie called THE TICK was also shown on Amazon Prime which I enjoyed a bit more. Sort of a Superhero movie with humerous undertones.
This one should do well.
Amazon offers these feature for free in an effort to get praise-worthy reviews from Amazon members .... and apparently proceeds to produce additional episodes based those reviews.
A damn good way to test a series of TV episodes before spending millions in production costs, whereas ..... Hollywood motion picture and TV studios spend millions on episodes prior to them being tested before a large number of viewers.
Although they do invite LA residents and LA tourists to see initial episodes of a potential TV series on many occasions and ask for pro/con comments before the viewers leave the screening area.
Tickets to these screening events are always available from ticket vendors on and around the Venice Beach Boardwalk.
I have yet to see them doing this on the internet.
