Here’s the REAL reason Hillary didn’t visit Louisiana:

Cynics will call it a photo-op — an opportunistic publicity grab.

But when GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump visited flood-ravaged Louisiana communities last week, we learned plenty about him — and about his challenger, Hillary Clinton.

We learned that Trump doesn’t always have to play the part of the savvy business mogul and empire builder. There’s a human side to Trump — a guy who can put his arms around shoulders and offer comforting words to people who are in pain.

And that’s not just important. It’s presidential.

But, unfortunately, as Clinton neglected the people of Louisiana — opting instead for days of self-prescribed “rest” — we gained plenty of insight into her, too, and her vision for America.

We learned that Hillary Clinton may believe that black lives matter. But she doesn’t think that Republican lives matter.

And she sure doesn’t give a damn about poor Republicans’ lives.

That’s the truth… the real reason she didn’t hop a plane to Louisiana. And it’s a badly kept secret that you’ll never hear her small army of spokespeople admit.

The fact is, the people of Louisiana who had their lives destroyed by this flooding… by the worst disaster on U.S. soil since Hurricane Sandy… don’t have anything to offer Clinton, politically or financially.

Louisiana will fall on the Republican side of the ledger in November, just as it did in 2008 and 2012. It’s also one of the poorest states in the country, and many of the 60,000 homes that were lost belonged to lower-income people who will never write Clinton a campaign check.

That may sound a bit harsh and callous. But when you look at the circumstances surrounding the flooding — and Clinton’s transparently lousy reasons for not paying a visit — you begin to see the truth.

Let’s not kid ourselves. If Louisiana were a battleground state, like Ohio or Pennsylvania, Clinton would have been there. She would have been wading through the water in knee-high rubber boots while her media pals from CNN and The New York Times snapped her picture.

But there was nothing to be gained for Clinton in Louisiana, so she pulled a no-show. Of course, there was nothing to be gained for Trump, either, who will carry the state come Election Day.

But, unlike Clinton, Trump demonstrated that a president is president for ALL Americans. And he showed that he understood that when Americans are hurting, presidents show their faces (I hope you’re listening to that, too, President Obama).

By asking us to believe her excuses for not visiting Louisiana, Clinton insulted the intelligence of all Americans.

First, we were told that Governor John Bel Edwards said a visit wouldn’t be useful. But Edwards is a Clinton and Obama crony who was simply providing cover so they could delay their visits.

Even Edwards eventually admitted that having Trump come to the state helped raise awareness — and money — for flooding victims.

And make no mistake about it. This is the same mainstream media that crucified President George W. Bush for not paying an immediate visit to Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina, dismissing his excuse that he’d be interfering.

But somehow these so-called journalists are giving both Clinton and Obama a pass.
