Treading carefully here as I've seen raging arguments about leasing vs buying / cash vs credit etc... but going into substantial debt for a vehicle isn't my bag - who cares, right...?

But re: personalised plates, if they are an investment then I can maybe understand that.  And I seem to recall Dorian had one that somehow read 'BEEF' (maybe something like 'B3 EEF'?)  On a big Beemer?  Seemed cool to me at the time..

OLD SCHOOL, No disrespect intended but it always surprises me wh en someone complains about what others do that has no affect on the health or welfare of others.

I've noticed a shit load of that among this younger generation but I sort of figured that you were not a part of this younger generation, so your opening comment was sort of a surprise to me.

Who really gives a fuck what someone places on their license plate?

I've seen lots of personal plates and most of them bring a bit of sunshine to my everyday driving around town in heavy traffic.

Have you ever considered a OldSchLftr personal plate?

So I guess I have to agree with 8inch in this regards.

I save my worries for shit other than what's written on license plates.

I knew someone who had a California plate that said MRUSAxx (where xx was the year, I'm not saying which), when in fact he was the heavyweight winner of the NPC USA that year.  Ignoring that the Mr USA was an AAU contest, his justification was that even though he did not win the overall, the heavyweight class was the only one that counted.

Totally agree Stunt. In this social media age, the custom is to denigrate people as a means to elevate the poster's  stature. It used to be called "little dick syndrome". After a while you don't even pay attention to it...
