If he hits 25 in a full season, that would be amazing.

Expectations are too high right now based on last season.

yeah, if he hits only 25 HRs, some might say "sophomore jinx" haha.

when really ... if Sanchez can put up the same 3+ WAR over a full season (that he did in playing just one-third of the 2016 season) then that would be very good.

And to put THAT in perspective, that would make him a top 3 catcher in baseball.   His arm is sick too.

Really excited about NY right now.  In additon to Sanchez -  Judge/ Bird / Torres / Mateo / Rutherford/ Kaprelian / Frazier are all legit prospects.

Other arms are decent too.

Plus Arod, CC is another 45 million off the books next year.

If a few of these guys pan out and they spend the bazillions of dollars they will have wisely......big things could happen.

yeah, i'm already bracing myself for the Yankees returning to being perennial beasts in the East from 2019 on ... (not that NY is necessarily out of the playoff picture in 2017-18...especially if their rotation surprises.)
