Generation Zero: Infatuation with Texting
« on: August 31, 2016, 01:47:12 AM »
What a lonely bunch of self important tools we live among.  You can't even dedicate one hour to working out without jerking your phone off.  Women are lonely by nature, so it's more understandable...but grown men texting every 2 minutes.  Pick up your phone and say what you need to, then put it down.
The only people who should be on their phone are business people putting together big deals.  If you make under 50k a year, stop acting important.  Your Instagram isn't going anywhere.

Ones of the saddest thing I have witnessed was in a restaurant in US where a family was sitting, eating and texting each one on their own phone including two 12 year old girls.

Posting on getbig is completely different.  We are in search of the truth and bettering ourselves.  It's not like regular folks texting about picking up carrots at the store.

An entire generation is being infected, distracted and socially engineered with this bullshit.  Social skills, morals, values and eye contact are a thing of the past now.  It only gets worse from here.  All of this is no accident.

So what is the bigger plan here?
Side note: When I see a chronic texter or phone abuser...I get an overwhelming sensation to smack the phone out of their hand and drop kick them firmly in the facial region.  Cold me old fashion I guess.

Total control.

I really think there's something to this. Before, people would be marketed a so called dream home in Shitsville nowhere, in some artificially developed community. They'd be given a shopping mall within 10 minutes drive as a place of distraction and consumption. They'd work hard all week to earn enough money to buy the things they're told they need, and then one day life would be over. Distract and encourage consumption.

These smartphones make all that so much easier.

Meanwhile the world is being carved go pieces, our US friends have been told Clinton or Trump are the only 2 genuine and viable choices to become the most powerful person on the planet, and the next generation is fed role models like the Kardashians and Paris Hilton..

Yes. I actually have a feeling that I'm doing something with my life and contributing to society when I post on GB.

Did you ever consider smartphones were made to make money...nothing more?  The iPhone is Apple's bread and butter...or was.  What we have today is a byproduct of a decent invention gone horribly wrong.  A sea of lemming texting, browsing, viewing....pretty much 90% dumb shit.  I'd like to think I'm better...but if you're here, you're not actually.  Getbig=Dumb shit

It a tablet...already specified.

Big difference...I'm at home.  Walking around in public places jerking your phone off is ridiculous.  Would you disagree?
Damn, you're always on Croatch's nutbag Captain....haha.

guys -

the lack of a phone in our hands gives us a HUGE advantage.  we get to make visual connection with every hot girl, every threat, every moneymaking idea in every room, because our peers are slower to the draw.   We leave with the cash and the gash, and they're left with the garbage.

Same with the rest of them being estrogen-laden softies.  GOOD!  Let us stay on top because we aren't zombie weaklings like that.

THe LAST thing I want is every male I meet being as focused, driven and aggressive as I am.   Things get much harder then.  I enjoy a world of mouth breeder iphone junkies. These kids can barely speak... I can spit mild game and I sound like Sean Connery.

i agree with croatch on pretty much everything he says.

yesterday i was watching this girl on her smartphone, her fingers went like crazy over the screen, took me a while to figure out what this mental case was doing, turns out she was on instagram back and forth back and forth, making 'hearts' on all the photos she came across.
cant remember when ive seen something so meaningsless.
i take it thats what pretty much everyone is doing these days, more or less.

I see all kinds of people, doing things like sitting on the leg extension machine, texting away for minutes and minutes on end.  This last time was an older man who looked semi retarded. Facebooking, whatever.  good thing I'm a getbigger and only do squats,  ::)

Ah, the latest Getbig "too cool for school"  thread  ::) . Do people text about trivial things? Sure, but people talk about trivial things, face to face, too. Texting is the most convenient form of electronic communication there is, bar none.
