P.S. It's a pet peeve of mine, when Iranians call themselves "Persians". Do Italians refer to themselves as Romans? Do North Africans refer to themselves  as Carthaginians? Do western Europeans refer to themselves as Gauls?  

The Persian empire does not exist anymore.  8)
