Sorry if you didnt know this - Alleppo has been in the news for years.   His not knowing it is pathetic.  If they asked him who the president of indonesia was and he didnt know - i would give a pass - but syria is in the news all the fng time.   

Would he have known Raqqa if asked?  That is a totally legit question to expect a potus candidate to know.

we see a lot of these people are sharp fckers, witty and fairly brilliant.  they hit the national spotlight and they Slooow Dooooown in a big way, saying silly shit, speaking slower, and not making those quick mental connections anymore.

Dubya, Palin, Carson are 3 examples - they were fast and clever on the rise, then turned into freakin' slow idiots as they peaked.  IMO, their doc gave them meds to calm them from the national spotlight, and the side effects are obvious.

Repubs always said Johnson steals votes from Trump, but some polls showed it hurt hilary a little worse.

She KNEW she had to go at his voters at some point.  She chose today... when trump looked pretty weak yesterday and she had a strong night, to unleash this.  This AM, about 90 minutes after he steps in shit on Morning Joe, she does her first press conference in 270+ days as a chance to try to draw in his supporters.  

It was nicely coordinated and may give her some of those voters, who had to break soon.  Tough for them to say Johnson isn't prepared/knowledgeable, but somehow Trump is.
