It is admirable, in a way, that people can delude themselves this consistently for so long. Nothing of worth has ever come out of Africa. Blame the white man for holding you back the last 500 years, fine. Not saying all white ancestors (expressly not saying 'we', neither I or my family ever owned slaves -- in fact some were slaves) were the nicest or most moral bunch. So yeah, we didn't exactly help the last few hundred years. But nothing stopped the entire continent from being a beacon of civilisation prior to that. Yet it wasn't. What exactly did that continent achieve the preceding millions of years, when the evil white man was not there? Precisely nothing. Who do you blame that on? Atlanteans? Aliens?
