Different cultures.
Here in Portugal and Spain we stick spears on the back of bulls for hours, just to kill them with a sword to his heart in the end of the torture session. It's socially accepted and applauded.

It boils down to cultural differences. In Europe and America, dogs are considered mans best friend. Over in China, it appears that they are treated as mainly a food source. That culture treats all animals like shit. Look how they treat sharks and dolphins .

We think nothing about throwing live crabs and lobsters into boiling water.

Bullshit. It's torturing an animal, a warm blooded animal with feelings. While I don't like the idea that my food had to be subjected to pain in its last few seconds, crabs are not the same as dogs. These people who did this should be sterilized.

No words

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3778933/amp/Horrific-video-shows-greyhound-screaming-BOILED-ALIVE-rural-China.html

If this was any other animal besides a dog or cat would you still object?

slaughter houses cut the throats of cows to kill them
they stab pigs in the heart to reduce the bleeding from cutting it's throat

I am just trying to see if your objection is for the animal being killed or the boiling of the animal or the eating of the boiled animal

Are you freaking serious?

Of course the objection being made here is to the cruelty.

Cutting a cows throat or stabbing a pig in the heart.  Minimal pain involved, and the death is swift.

Boiling a dog?  Can you even compare the two?  If they want to eat dogs as a source of meat, that's fine.  Why not make the death swift and painless?

Whats the problem if you eat meat you cannot say anything because if you are ok with killing a cow, goat, pig, sheep etc barbecue the meat then lick your fingers saying yummy those animals have feelings and feel pain also, if a guy wants to eat a dog go ahead just kill the dog swiftly I guess at the end of the day protein is protein

You've obviously never known anyone who works in a slaughterhouse. There is great pain and suffering and endless squealing and screaming from pigs, cows, lambs and every other animal that can feel pain just the same as the dog.

Commercial slaughterhouses are horrible places.  But nonetheless the intent is still to kill the animal quickly and as painlessly as possible.

Untrue. The only intent of a commercial slaughterhouse is to keep the assembly line moving without regard to pain. Hundreds of animals are skinned and yes, boiled alive every day. I hope this isn't news to you.

I have heard some horrible stories.  And the corporations and their scum workers should be harshly dealt with, just like these scumbags in China.

My point is that the Chinese are no more evil for doing this to a dog than we are in the eyes of India for doing this to a cow. Tens of thousand of pigs are thrown into scalding tanks every day to remove all of their hair without concern from the $10/hour immigrant laborer as to whether it is still alive or not. Why anyone would think "pain" is a concern to either the immigrant factory worker or the corporate executive getting rich is beyond me.
