Ever feel bad about what you write or post on here?

Just wondering if anyone else ever feels like that.

Example, about 10 minutes ago I posted something in a thread just to be a smart ass or try to fit in with the cool kids in the back of my mind, , I just decided that it just doesn't feel right so I deleted it.

Thing is, I actually don't give a fuck about fitting in when it comes to real life, and that works out well as I have friends and am comfortable in my own skin.

On here though, I find sometimes I just get caught up, and although having been a quick wit and sarcastic most of my life, I don't go out of my way to be cruel for the sake of being cruel. And alot of times lately I don't think when I post up some stupid picture I made or some insult I post.

Yes, to a degree. When I rant on something, I may feel that I go overboard against individuals. Like posts about race. We have admirable men of all races here, and I do not want to attack those via a generalised truth. Given the alternative of pussyfooting around everything, being blunt is the less-awful solution.

No. In general, I try not to say anything that I wouldn't say in public or among group of close acquaintances. There are certain topics like politics or race, where I'll moderate my posting a bit, simply because it isn't worth the hassle of going back and forth, or being mad at someone over something that isn't going to change anyway.

Yep, I've posted then deleted sometimes based on mood on some topics simply because it doesn't change the other persons opinion and won't. Also, then it does just go back and forth endlessly.

Mostly, I would say that I post then may not go back to that thread because the reply will sometimes irritate me on certain topics and don't want the back and forth. Basically, said my piece and that's it.

Don't feel bad about anything I post though.

I remember that poster James28(?) coming on here announcing his departure some time back because someone important to him had somehow seen what he had posted and he felt bad about it (paraphrasing) hence his departure.

I remember at that time thinking something along the lines of, 'what would happen to me in that situation?'  (i.e. someone reading my posts).  And I realised I wouldn't be in that position, because the obvious truth is I'm just a lightweight here - no hate, no bile, just sh1t jokes.  Also, my family see me on here, adjusting photo's of men in thongs, etc. and they've not expressed any concern yet!

I found this place accidentally and joined because some of the guys here literally make me laugh out loud, and that's all I want from the place - I'm not trying to change the world, and I'm not interested in any arguments - my real life is hard and shitty enough thank you very much.

There is No shame in changing your mind after you post something. You always should be 100% comfortable with your posts.

I think that regular users get gimmick accounts so they can post things that they would never post with their main accounts.
