Phil was very all around:  singing, playing and songwriting, but, it's hard to call him the best at any one thing, as opposed to Hendrix, who many believe is the greatest guitarist of all time. I actually went back and forth about the bassist. I thought about Jack Bruce, Andy Fraser, Chris Squire and Larry Graham.

No such issue about the Vocalist.  Rodgers, IMO, is the starting Singer of any rock all star band.

Dewar had a great voice. Trower is such an under appreciated guitarist. Bridge of Sighs is one of my favorite albums.

Drums: Keith Moon
Guitar: Randy Rhodes
Bass:Cliff Burton

Shit is all subjective though and we lean to the musical tastes we have and who we listened to growing up anyway.
