if Biden starts doing her campaign events for her, there's a good chance he is the next president.

Zero chance. Her Vice-Presidential candidate takes over for her. Biden wasn't elected, nor confirmed by the convention of delegates.

oh.   sorry, I forgot the DNC was a honorable party that followed rules and did the right thing.   I just assumed they'd do anything to win and that includes picking someone who would do better than Kaine.

I don't care what the dems do. As long as they get it done, and on the ballot before election day, because there is no  legal way they are going to postpone the Presidential Election, because of the hag's health or death.

dems do what serves the dems.  "Legal" doesn't always play into it.

These pundits are all in such a tough spot.  They want to remain credible, but they don't want to be hated by the clintons if/when hilary returns.

Yes, but this time they'll have to do "illegal" very publicly. Doubt that will go over big time with the voters, especially independents.

in terms of picking kaine - that's not a legal thing - that's just a party rule thing.

kaine didn't get a single vote.  Bernie got 43% of the dem vote.  So I think it'd have to be bernie - or Biden.  with kaine maybe sticking with the ticket as veep cause he's a good obedient foot soldier.

Biden would absolutely smash Trump in the debates.  Remember Biden making Ryan look like a chided toddler?  He wouldn't let him talk - and Ryan seriously knows his shit.

Biden would punk Trump.  I bet his d**k is hard, he wants to rape Trump on that stage so badly.

Malarkey

wait... you don't Biden would "out-old-man" Trump up there?

Biden is an obnoxious ass, he's a rude dick.  And he has 40 years of legislative experience and lots of committees.  He talked CIRCLES around hilary AND obama in 2008 when it came to policy.  He's probably smarter than both of them combined on the issues.

Biden would salivate at a chance to punk Trump up there.   I think Kaine would look like a wimp up there.  I think Trump would actually refuse to debate Biden, to be honest.

Get it done before election day dems! Or, it don't happen! Election Day will not legally be postponed!

Get it done before election day dems! Or, it don't happen! Election Day will not legally be postponed!

If something were to happen to Clinton or Trump before the election, rules established by the Republican and Democratic parties do offer guidelines for what to do.

If Clinton were to fall off the ticket, Democratic National Committee members would gather to vote on a replacement. DNC members acted as superdelegates during this year's primary and overwhelmingly backed Clinton over boat-rocking socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

DNC spokesman Mark Paustenbach says there currently are 445 committee members – a number that changes over time and is guided by the group's bylaws, which give membership to specific officeholders and party leaders and hold 200 spots for selection by states, along with an optional 75 slots DNC members can choose to fill.

But the party rules for replacing a presidential nominee merely specify that a majority of members must be present at a special meeting called by the committee chairman. The meeting would follow procedures set by the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee and proxy voting would not be allowed.

DNC member Connie Johnson, a former Oklahoma state senator who supported Sanders, says it would be most appropriate for the DNC to give the nomination to the runner-up if Clinton were to die or drop out before the election.

"I believe that's why Sen. Sanders stayed in the contest," she writes in an email. "As to whether the party would adopt what would appear to be a common sense solution in the event of [Clinton] no longer being able to serve – that would remain to be seen. There was so much vitriol aimed at Sen. Sanders and his supporters by [Clinton supporters] that they would likely want 'anybody but Bernie' in order to save face and maintain control."

They're still not going to postpone election day. No legal way of doing it. If dems try to do it illegally, then the voters turn on them. Simple really.

The only time the VP would automatically become president is if there is a death after he's been sworn in.

The electoral college actually selects the president and vice president.   and if a candidate were to die before the electoral vote in December, they would select someone.
