Hardcore bodybuilding does breed mental illness, or is it vise-versa ???

I truly don't think he understands that his claim to fame was singularly his freakish drug body. Now it's long gone and his "yeah, buddies" and such come across as embarrassingly pathetic.

Someone made the funny statement, regarding Gunter, "he's no use to us now". In a way, there's truth to this regarding Ronnie.

We've witnessed him as a monster, lifting massive weights.

Now if there is ANY interest from the public it's simply to observe the dramatic drop from what he once was. The trainwreck, as it were.

Like the boxer that goes on too long.... the problem is that introspectively ronnie's whole identity is wrapped up in being the biggest baddest bodybuilder on the planet.Must hurt to find out you are mortal. :-[

this is the case with all forms of entertainment

once they are old, fans pretty much have no use for them

everybody was upset when robin williams died at 62, it had been at least 20 years since those same people paid to see one of his movies, he even did a tv show before he died which failed, how often do A list actors do a tv show?

I think he's kind of happy to be working out again on his own. I wouldn't read too much into this. he reminds me of my Dad, probably much smarter than he sounds and not trying to impress anyone.

his glory days are in the gym and have resulted from time spent in that gym.

most 48 year old dudes sit in a classic car to relive their glory days.  Ronnie breaks into a gym, takes pre-workout, and records instagram videos.

"ANY" interest = 141k views?  Fuck, Levrone can barely muster that when he peels.

Ronnie has a positive attitude that pleases many.  That's also why he sticks around in the public domain.  That's why he interests me and I'm sure I am one of many.

Anybody who says he is hung up on being a monster is just wrong and needs to look at his willingness to post videos of him doing basically the weight that would be prescribed to an elderly woman to do.  The guy is totally humble and clearly loves the iron.

Because their aim is to miniaturize them and put them on missiles that will make it to the United States.

he blew a disc in his back squatting (a huge cracking sound that his spotter heard) and carried on training, he went to work after and it started playing up.
Yep, huge amounts of painkillers will let you do that.

hell yeah...imho a true "warrior" or whatever he considers himself would know when it's time to stop the killer training, that it's long been time to bow out gracefully. For him to think he can still train like the old days is ludicrous. Why one would subject themselves to that torture, cracking bones and all, is beyond me...

Ronnie has always talked like he's got a mouthful of marbles, but apparently he has a college degree in accounting.  Which I'd have to see to believe.
