I have a couple family members who have come down with that in the past and I can assure you that you will not be standing up announcing "It's a beautiful day here in New York!" like some cheery Mary Tyler Moore episode a few short hours after being taken down from it.

Even Jonah Goldberg, up to this point one of Trump's biggest critics, complimented him on how he has handled this situation.

And he is correct. In a situation like this you just sit back, take a somewhat neutral and affable stance and let the other candidate hang themselves.

You do realize there are different kinds of pneumonia, right? Some knock you out and leave you unable to muster the strength to get out of bed and others don't. Your relative's experience is hardly dispositive.

With that said, time for the obligatory disclaimer: while I think that some kinds of pneumonia and the medication commonly used to treat them have side-effects that "fit" some of the symptoms Clinton exhibited or claimed, I agree that this likely to be more than just pneumonia.

Time will tell, I guess.

No aides, no doctor, no black mystery man with the epipen, and most conspicuously, no Secret Service. The Secret Service doesn't protect body doubles. They're sworn to secrecy about the candidates comings and going, foibles and frauds, but their job is only protecting the real candidate, not participating in the frauds that the candidate tries to pull off.
