House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz said he’s going to figure out what options he can pursue, but said Mr. Pagliano is evading Congress.
“When you are served a subpoena from the United States Congress, that is not optional,” he said.
Three other witnesses involved in Mrs. Clinton’s server did show up for the hearing.
Rep. Elijah E. Cummings, the ranking Democrat on the committee, asked whether they could go into executive session to have Mr. Pagliano show up and assert his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination in private, so he wasn’t... [Read more]
