They are put together with hammers and ducktape so production can be done anywhere.

Unlike the illegal mexicans here, the cost of labor in mexico proper, is still cheaper than the cost of automation.

Ford will be robbed blind, of course, something they didn't include in their computer models, just as they, and GM, did 25 years ago, when they last tried making cars in mexico, and mexican gangs were stealing anything not nailed down, and if they could pry it loose, then it wasn't nailed down, and they could steal it. The mexican gangs opened auto parts stores all over southern California, selling all brandy new, stolen car parts, smuggled in from mexico. Guess a new generation at Ford, has to find out the hard way.LOL!

There's only one Ford car that's even decent to own and that would be the GT.  Otherwise it's a shit brand and a shit company.

So long for "buying 'murican". Meanwhile an "import" like the Toyota Camry has over 75% of parts and manufacturing in the US.

I thought Trump already took credit for scaring them into staying here?

If his "35% import tax" is real, that $22,000 Ford is now going to cost $30k.

why does this surprise you? a corporation's obligations are to it's stock holders.

and to be honest Americans don't care, they will still buy Ford trucks.

Ford moves a plant to Mexico and no one cares or reads about it... and even after being notified no one gives a shit.

Ford Doubles Profits for the Best Quarter in Its History
By NEAL E. BOUDETTE

Ford, the No. 2 American carmaker, on Thursday reported a record $2.5 billion in net income for the first three months of the year, an increase of 113 percent and more profit than in any other quarter in its 112-year history.

In North America, Ford’s operating profit doubled to $3.1 billion. It produced fewer vehicles on the continent than General Motors, but made about $800 million more in profit than its crosstown rival.

“The first quarter was an absolutely terrific start to the year for us,” Ford’s chief executive, Mark Fields, said in a conference call.

best year for those who own stock.
worst year for those who work there in the USA.

People have to decide who they support... shareholder or the employee... not always the same.

President Trump will screw them BOTH by taxing every ford vehicle made in MEX 35%.

Employees ain't getting jobs back.  But now shareholders aren't making money off it.  All that new money is just going to Trump, so he can subsidize the new "all child care is deductible" policy he just announced.

Of course, true to liberal form, if you're wealthy, you CANNOT apply the deduction.  Trump's a dem... you guys were warned.
