Sucks that Lou Ferrigno's comeback was much more impressive.

lou was 10 years younger

I said he would never get on stage and am man enough to admit I was wrong.  I should have been right.  How could he step onstage with those legs and calves?  Unbelievable delusion.

Oh man... sad.

But his still my champion! And the reason I even bothered to wake up for this.

Same. If Kev didn't announce his comeback i would have slept through this Olympia.

Me too.  Not watching Saturday's show.  I'll see the final results Sunday/Monday.

That's it for me tonight.   Still don't know what to say or feel exactly about Kevin.

Don't want to say it was a mistake, but it didn't seem right either.

Hey, I enjoyed the summer of hype...it was fun.

Only watched for Kevin, pro BBing just isn't how it used to be 10-15+ years ago.
Dennis James is good at his job tho.

I mean Dennis James didn't even know what to say.....just spoke about how proud he is of Kevin.

It was courageous effort, but father time catches all of us....even the genetic freaks.
uhhhh....no.

Well it's sad. Nobody wants to see their heroes stumbling around.  I think it's best to go out on top rather trying to cling desperately to former glory.

Man they just said Kevin should've gone into the physique competition......this is painful for me to watch actually.

Not they. Dennis corrected the other guy saying nah, that's my idol up there.

Its sad. Would be good to see him keep training and try to regain the lost size. A year of training is just not enough

But I think he might retire for real after placing last.

He must have been 220lbs on stage

Agree. Before I did that show in 07' I hadn't competed in 19 years. I remember Frank Zane saying that when getting ready for the Olympia he would peak twice a year then nail it the second time the day of the show. I should have done it and Levrone should have done it. Instead of taking a 5 months to get ready going to nothing to the day of the show he should have taken AT LEAST a full year to prepare. Yes, getting old sucks and takes twice as long and the young bucks.

I didn't know you were a real thong warrior

Wouldn't have changed the fact that his legs are GONE and like Dennis said, are not coming back. They were already fading in his last 3 Olympias. Nothing he could do at this age to bring them back up. It's possible he could bring back up his upper body which is also small and flat, but even that has its limits at 52. We won't be seeing Kevin onstage again for anymore shows. Sad, but it is what it is.

i might do the same

i haven't missed too many olympias over the years even though i don't like any of the bodies, i might have to skip this one because it's too hard for me to watch

he looks very uncomfortable onstage, he knows he is not what he used to be and he can't display his trademark confidence and charisma in that shape,  i'll see his routine on youtube

i think i'll watch my vids of past Mr. O's where he should've won instead

Yup, Kevin should have made his comeback several years ago (even 2009 when he was getting back in shape).

But he never stopped training.

It is somewhat delusional to think you can become Olympia level caliber in 5 months.  It's like thinking you can get to the Olympics with 5 months of training.

The legs will never come back, they're gone.

Still he looks great in the side chest:

Same here.  On one hand, Kevin accomplished a great deal in competing at 52 and only preparing for half a year.  To me, he looked the driest in the entire show.  I thought his lower body might be a bit better, but unfortunately, it's pretty bad.  Realistically, there's no way he could regain the thickness and look of the late 90's.  He'll put on a great posing routine and people will be happy.  I feel a bit like when Jordan came back with the Wizards.  Excited about the return, but it's simply not the same.  Kevin should have guest posed instead.

Albert Beckles was older.

Let's not try to polish a turd here.

Agreed. Dennis James handled the mic really well. He was honest, but handled it with class.

Time to answer the obvious question: Was Kevin drunk on stage?

He will NOT regain his legs. His legs were already much smaller in his last 3 Mr. O's. Didn't you hear what Dennis James said? The legs are the first thing to go. Kevin's legs are nowhere. They are finished. He no longer has a pro physique and no amount of time in the gym will bring that back. It's sad, but true.
