I've noticed leg press puts greater strain on my knees.

Though, for building leg size I also find it more effective.

the amount of weight you can push on a leg press compared to a squat just shows how strong your legs really are, the first thing to go on squats is your back, not your legs, so to avoid blowing a disc you have to use a weight your legs can comfortably cope with.

No, lucky that way I guess. Actually...now that I think about it, I do remember injuring my back once during pivot press, but never during squats. I did have some knee issues that were brought about by heavy leg pressing. Rehabilitated them by staying away from leg press and sticking to squats and lunges.

Leg extensions and partial rep leg presses alone will not build Olympia level legs.

You have to do some sort of squatting if your legs are undersized.

I get your point about overall workload, leg press work the overall leg and are just as effective as squats, in fact you have less chance of a low back injury with leg press so I would say leg press is better

So as an experiment I showed my girlfriend about four or five pictures of Levrone in the lineup with some other guys, including Phil and Dexter in a few poses. I asked her who she thought had the most appealing physique and she pointed to Kevin and said him by far. She said most of the other guys were gross looking and even asked why some of their stomachs stick out when they don't have any bodyfat. Although she did mention that Dallas McCarver was cute in the face and had nice hair.

id agree with that defiantly Dexter (bloody cocky little midget) Roden, and the rest of them and his conditioning, stage presence, etc would of taken care of Heath, was just watching him in the 1998 mr Olympia routine again after how many years just too show 1 of my kids what he looked like in his prime..he couldn't believe it was the same man...that man would of handed a good ole fashioned 90s ass whipping too that top 6 hard too watch Kevin like that but he's still a bodybuilding legend one of the very best of all time IMO.

In the side chest, Kevin's conditioning and crispness is still unreal.  Midsection looks diced.  No one else on that stage had that look.
