I think his upper body was larger a few months ago and I think it could have become even larger, but because his legs were not responding as perhaps he had hoped they would, he made a calculated decision to bring in a much leaner upper body so not to emphasize how small his legs were. No other reason for him to look that depleted on the night of. He probably went for the aesthetic/symmetrical look last night, meaning he compromised an upper massive body to not be imbalanced with his lower body. Not dogging the guy. Just my opinion to few posters hating on me for having one. Peace.

Your opinion sounds reasonabel. I think Kevin went for the ripped look, sliced to diced. But I think thas was a misstake. He should be 10 pounds heavier, fuller rounder. That would make him look much better I think...Dude was overdieted, totally depleted from 3x training/day and diet for 5 moths...The body never got the rest and recovery to fill up and grow...he overdid it I think...

I honestly think that Kevin was surrounded by "yes men".

They told him what he wanted to hear. They kissed his ass.

They should've forced him to do barbell squats, front squats, deadlifts ect..

In generation iron when Victor Martinez meets with the dude who advises him to sit out the Olympia Victoria looks genuinely disappointed. I thought it was all for the doc, because Vic had to know he was WAY off. He is a professional. He would know when he looks bad especially when compared to himself.

But I've come to realize most bodybuilders are just as delusional as your average gym rat. They're always seeing something that's not there.

That's the eye of the tiger for you - ignore the body LOL. Having said that, I absolutely expect a flurry of post-show rebound amazing tank top shots from Kevin in the next few days after a few cheat meals....

Bottomline is that he stopped training for aloooooooooooong time and took only 5 months to come back. In that loooooooong layoff age took over. Don't compare him to Vince Taylor or anyone other pro that's even close to his age. They didn't stop training. He did.

Combined with the fact that he hasn't lifted weights since 2003 (with exception to summer of 2009). He lost the foundation he had built up all those years. You don't use it, you lose it.

But, he's actually been training for at least 7-8 months, if not 9 or 10 to be honest. It sounded better to say 5 or 6. There are pics of him from February (7 months ago) where he was already pretty buff.
