Should have won Arnold Classic Europe instead of Dexter.

Everyone who was there said Ramy was the clear winner. Was even harder then Dexter in a lotta poses.

Ramy should have won for sure.

Not Dex's fault but all this "must pay your dues" is BS.

Winner should be the best on the night and big Ramy dominated and looked awesome.

Dexter semi-kuato gut ignored by the judges(schmoes) several years now, plus his boring personality/character has zero marketability.

Rami was the clear winner without a doubt, even the audience were booing against Dexter.

I think when it's a close call; the bigger man should get the nod. And I felt that yesterday was very close. Maybe it was a different story in person. But according to the pics. It looked close.

Hard to judge.

Both guys look amazing. Total different looks, how do you decide?? comes down to judge preference I guess.

Dorian didnt have to pay his dues.

I think Dorian deserved his early success. But do you think it helped Dorian to have Peter McGough promoting him from the start?

This is from a PM from Peter McGough

The truth is Dorian got exposure in Brit mags from 1985 onwards. But in those pre-internet days word of his rise never crossed the Atlantic. Prior to his pro debut in May 1990 at the NOC I sent a full profile with shots to FLEX USA timed to get into an issue before the contest. The story promised he would become Lee Haney’s worst nightmare. The editor at the time turned down the story saying (I’ll never forget), “We don’t want anything from England.” He then said I was going over the top with Yates just because I was English. I told him I’d never sent him a profile before of a British bodybuilder, if I was fueled by patriotism wouldn’t I have sent him a profile of every British champ of the previous ten years.
In the end they put one small shot of Dorian in their gossip column just basically saying he was entering the NOC. That was all the stateside pre-publicity Dorian had prior to the NOC. When he arrived at the competitors meeting nobody knew who he was and as he was wearing a tracksuit no-one took any notice of him. Even Wayne DeMilia said, he was expecting a black guy. At the prejudging Dorian was number 26 of 26 competitors. As soon as he walked out there was a cumulative WTF from the audience. They started saying, “Who is that guy? Is he Russian, Swedish? How come we never heard of him.”
Of course he went on to take second, with no pre-publicity in the US save for the small photo in FLEX.
(You can post this if you want.)

This was the extent of Dorian's promotion before his pro debut. Dorian used to say his intentions were that he would be so good on contest day the judges couldn't ignore him. It seemed to work.

Paying his dues. Looks great now but the judges will reward him in 5 years when he looks like shit just like they did with Wolf.

How long are they young to keep up this judging scam?

Judging against someone that 95% of people wanted to see as the winner?

Why do we even follow this "sport" anymore.

Absolutely spot on,Peter had the Muscle and Co mag from 85 and then later the newspaper called Pumping Press,Dorian did the NOC in 1990 with no publicity at all,in fact later that year at the british GP there was a meet and greet at the weider gym and none of the pro`s who had just done the GP and olympia knew who he was.He walked in wearing his dungarees and they were all pointing and saying who the fuck is that.Peter was still in charge at Pumping Press in 1991 when Dorian won the NOC and its only because he wrote a bit of satire on the play on words "stallone" and "arnold" that got the attention and then a job offer from Joe.Oh yeah,Arnold is the name of the town that Peter used to host seminars in,and a nightclub was called Stallones.

God I wish I'd kept those old copies of Pumping Press.  I remember the one after Dorian did the NoC and I think the headline on the front was something like, 'Mr Olympia 1992?  Yes, yes, YES!'  I think the pic was something similar to the one on the left here except in colour...

Oh, and to stay on topic a second - maybe it's the lighting, but that first pic is the driest I've seen Ramy so far.  Aceto is clearly 'getting his eye in' through this run of shows.  So yes, Arnold 2017 a strong possibility for the Big Kebab.  And even though I was watching the O for Levrone, I also enjoyed watching the sense of happiness that Ramy displayed on stage - made me a fan...
