In USA drugs are prescribed for everything by doctors.
Drug companies pay big sums to doctors in order to make them prescribe their products.

The whole 'system' is tamed to serve interests of private companies.
This why school children are diagnosed with depression, adhd and what not and sent to doctor who then prescribes medication to kid.

People take drugs because......they make them feel better (at least in the short term). that's the long and the short of it. Sooner or later with the harder drugs, the body typically adapts and higher and higher doses are needed just to feel normal, much less 'better' and the side effects acumulate and become devastating (both the medical side effects, then the others - like no longer being able to work productively, then the descent into crime/homelessness etc)

not that any of that is exactly an illuminati level secret, it's f_cking obvious.

Has krokodil found its way to Ukraine yet btw? There's a great drug, Russians seemed to love it!

Welfare state with alot of inequality and privatised medical care promising them all their worries can be fixed by x drug and marketed as fiercely as any other prominent brand.

Every commercial is for some drug, every other commercial is a warning not to take x drug being pushed last month because of "lists side effects"

I don't know how you guys see it but when you travel to the usa and see it from the outside it's pretty shocking, feels like I'm living in bizzaro world.
