Caloric surplus makes you fat, not the type of training method.
Didn't read the article, don't want to contribute with web traffic to their shitty site.

Runners carbo load. Carbs make you fat. Running burns muscle tissue.

The usual fat fuck pathological lying. From the article:

"But sometimes, eating too little can also help pack on the pounds. Elbaz attributes her double-digit weight gain to consuming too few calories, which can cause your metabolism to drop. “She became inefficient at burning calories,” says dietitian Heidi Skolnik, meaning Elbaz’s body stored excess calories as fat, rather than using them as energy."

Unfortunately, people eat that junk up then you hear them talking about it like they are so "with it".

She'd be fat with or without it. In the first pic, she was already running. She probably lost weight for about five minutes and promptly gained it back.

This is the U.S women's Marathon team for the Rio Olympics. Not too much spillover there:

I ran a few Half Marathons over the Summer. There were quite a few chubby chicks there. They kind of half jog half walk. The hotter women run the Half in 2 hours and under. The fatties are usually closer to 3.

Eddie Izzard ran 27 marathons in 27 days, he was still fat when he crossed the line on day 27.

He was probably taking in about 300 calories an hour, in gels,  while burning 600.  So, his net was about 1200-1500 calories burned per Marathon. A pint of Ice Cream cancels that out.

That said he still compares favorably to the average 54 year old:

my point was running doesnt in itself make you thin, its way more efficent to cut cals than go running every day.

Agree. That's the problem. People use running as a weight loss tool and usually fail.

Fatties just don't want to hear that it's all diet.

It's all about the intensity. Had a coworker who said he runs 5 to 7 miles a day.  I was amazed that he wasn't thinner. At the time I would run 2 to 5 miles a day and I was really lean.  When I ran with him he was running so slow he should have been fast walking instead that fake jog.

Another thing I noticed with with out of shape guys. They walk from their car to the gym at a faster pace than they set the treadmill for.  I wonder if they even realize they are walking slower on the treadmill than they usually walk around in life?

You can run two hard miles a day and lose a ton of weight. The key is intensity. I don't believe the calories burn charts because I lose weight with hard cardio added to my weight workouts that doesn't calculate.  A pound of fat is 3500 calories.  I lose fat at a much faster rate than the current calculations figure.
