I have been attempting to gather accurate information regarding  the 2016 IFBB prize money offered at all IFBB events and divisions.

The following is a start, but did this occur in 2013 or was it 2016 ( the first year that the Olympia prize money was topped off at $1,000,000)?

Any help from any knowledgeable GetBigger would be appreciated.

If I’m not mistaken the following was/is  the prize money for the __year?__  IFBB Olympia

Makes no sense to give the winner of that class so much more of a percentage of the pot than the rest. That class not the future of bodybuilding. Just like it wasn't for female bodybuilding...Way way too many drugs involved...Now with the internet at full force, most people know what the fools are doing to look like they do. What's next, implants that look like real muscle? The guy who spends the most of implants will win that div? These guys can barely be used as the face of muscle building (snake oil) supps anymore.

Yea, 240! But I believe that that is the amount of prize money that would have been shared by each contender who placed in the Oly.

I hope that some knowledgeable GetBigger can show us how it was divided among the winners.

Likewise for all the other Oly divisions.

SNOMAN, Thanks for your interesting response but you have to remember that those prize monies as stated above must be divided among those who place  high enough to win a cash award.

I have no idea at present how high that placing has to be though.

Most of the smaller pro shows 1st place check pays enough for the winner to upgrade from a 1983 Honda Accord to a 1988 model

Thanks MOTY and RUDEE, That's the kind of info I've been looking for, but I'd like to see the other prize money for the ladies and the Physique contenders at the Olympia and also likewise for each the Arnold and the other 'smaller' contests if possible.

That is total prize money for all competitors, not just first.  It only hit the million mark when Dave Pecker came on board.
