Professional Delusional Illusionists (PDI) is ecstatic to announce that the first ever event of it's kind in the history of modern  bodybuilding since Monday will take place in London on October 32nd 2006.* Prize money will be $300,000*

The venue will be announced shortly - hopefully before the event. We are currently looking at several phone booths in the better parts of London as we are expecting at least 1 competitor, 1 official, 3 International Judges and 4 fans.* Tickets will be on sale soon, somewhere by somebody, but we can't say yet*

The athlete competing will be offered a complete medical check up free of charge at the London Hospital For The Severely Mentally Disturbed. If you call the hospital they will have no idea that this is going to happen but believe me I'm telling the truth and if you don't believe me ask "InsiderZ"*

We are hoping to make this an annual event but if not we will put it on every year and hope you can all come* We cannot reveal any more information as it is all rather hush hush, secret secret stuff that not even James Bond knows so plese be patient. As Confucious once said "It will all come out in the wash"

*Please note that all of these details could, and probably will be changed at anytime.

The post was not intending to amuse. It was to inform the public of my intention to promote a show in the UK as part of a worldwide initiative.

You use this forum to promote your business, why can't I?

Are you also going to call for the other announcements to be deleted too?

Hey 240- Specifically, where are the "lies?" Blatantly (not blatent) unfunny is your opinion- cool. But I'm not sure I'm seeing anything in that post that was meant to be serious. If it's a parody, where are the lies that make it ban-worthy?

This thread shouldn't be banned.
Just like the Colorado Foe thread shouldn't have been.

My point was, IF you're going to delete one, delete all of them about this topic.  But only deleting those that go against IFBB thinking is wrong.

I'm always for less censorship.  I say let them all stay--as long as this board isn't overrun with unfunny parodies.  I'm looking at you, 240.   ;D   My only concern with Wayne's Yahoo Account Federation is that some guys might get cheered on to join by sites like this (it's so cool and anti-establishment), without really thinking about what it can mean for their career.  There's very little chance it'll be around 2 years from now, and Wayne's history is nowhere near as sugar-coated as it is on this site.  PDI has also been one lame half-ass announcement after another.  Remember the "medical benefits" that turned out to be a physical as part of some anti-steroid test in a Boston mental hospital?!  Taking the piss out PDI (as this board always has the IFBB) is part of GetBig's duty.  Carry on.

Interesting stuff going on here.   Good!!... I've been bored sh%%less watching the same guys win shows 10 years in a row!!   Get real man, we need different judges at different shows.   We need shows in different countries and we need new blood too. It doesnt matter if their top amateurs or Pro's.

You see the public doesn't know the difference between Mr Podunk down the street or Mr G.H. of the year.
They'll pay the same to get in.
And BTW.....If 25 shows happen next year or whatever, isn't that more photo-shoots and more radio shows and more pocket money for all here?

Yes this is my first post. :o ;)

We are going to do all we can to make this sport grow.
As President of this organization I can tell you that I will personally ensure that the same person does not win over and over again and have instructed my judge to make sure it never happens.

At the moment it would be difficult for us to have different judges at each show because we only have one but in the interest of fairness I do intend to rotate him at the event. So what if he gets dizzy.

Kevin: why diss this organization when they are seemingly doomed for failure anyway (judging by the tone of your post)?  In my opinion, you (and probably all of the Weider organization) are scared right now.  You know that Wayne was a damn good promoter.Yes I admit it, I am scared. That's why I have decided to promote a show

The Olympia venue in 2005 was a complete disaster.  I could have put on a better venue myself and I am dead serious when I say that!  And guess who WASN'T promoting it any more.   ::)Well why don't you put on a show? Yes, you are correct, Wayne was not promoting the show. But the prize money available was the highest ever. Doesn't that count for something

The only thing I don't like about FLEX is how fake it is.  If I wanted to read any UNBIASED reports about the PDI I would read MD.  Same as how in 2005 I read MD for unbiased reports on Alex Fedorov.Sorry you don't like the magazine.

I will hopefully be making full reviews of both of these magazines soon month by month.  Once I finish my backlog of DVDs to review.[size=10ptGood luck[/size]

Wow.  Kevin sure is looking out for the sport  ::)  Why would you not want PDI to try to help today's BBer's suceed?  I hope it helps BBer's who are having to work two jobs, don't have a sponser, or get as many photoshoots make a better living.  It also looks to make the sport more worldwide - which certainly shouldn't hurt magazine sales overall - and the sport in general.  I'm not certain why you mock these topics.

Kevin isn't concerned about BODYBUILDING, he's concerned about WEIDER.  If the PDI was really such an obvious disaster would it really need to be pointed out.   ::)

He's obviously scared.  Makes me lose respect for FLEX that's for damn sure.  And to think I was going to use my website to give them praise to thousands of daily visitors.  If Kevin's attitude is any reflection of the Weider organization, maybe I should use my pages to point that out.

I say: let the Weider monopoly fail.  I'm sure a lot of bodybuilders are sick of their exploitative bullshit.  What do you think the free market is about?   ::)

And I LIKED the magazine.  I buy it every month in fact and was planning to make complete month to month unbiased reviews which would no doubt promote sales.  I just don't like certain things about it.  And your attitude in this thread is a reflection of the stuff about Weider I do not like.

My subscription to Flex and Muscle & Fitness are no longer.

What I've questioned is the validity of the claims being made about this new organisation.

Even Wayne is amused by the people who come on these boards claiming to have information from him. When questioned they either ignore it or say "Why do you think you should know"

Surely basic information such as dates, venues, athletes being made avaiable wil only help the cause not hinder it?

Today we get a list of three shows. Still no venue details, No sponsor details. No names of athletes appearing. ODD?

I received an e-mail from the NY Theatre stating that the show was not confirmed yet. ODD?

One regular poster here has repeatedly attacked Shawn Ray over his show due to changes in the athletes possible appearing yet is the PDI's number one fanboy despite the fact they only have one competitor!

We were told that an agreement was made with a leadig hospital for all athletes to have a yearly medical. While everyone was applauding this, I called them up and asked for the details. Turns out that there was no agreement.

If this is a genuine organisation with genuine intentions to help grow the sport then I wish it well but until I see something more substantial than a "press release" I'm not going to jump from the roof tops like others here.

apparently Kevins assignment for this month is to patrol the boards and
save us all from Wayne's lies.  :o

If the PDI was to go ahead I've already been invited. As for my opinions, they are my own and have nothing to do with Weider, but of course that wouldn't fit well into your conspiracy theory. If revealing revealing my attitude to your site visitors helps you in anyway, please feel free to mention me. I wll of course expect a commision on all sales

I say: let the Weider monopoly fail.  I'm sure a lot of bodybuilders are sick of their exploitative bullshit.  What do you think the free market is about?   ::)I'm all for a free market. Competition is great for any business.

Sorry that my attitude would detract from your enjoyment of the magazine. I'm intrigued as to what it is you don't like about Weider
