Yes, this is why I can't understand this secrecy over the identity of the promoter and sponsors. These shows need as much publicity as possible to make them viable. The mystery promoter here must ne extremely confident of his abilities.

Well, like I said before, I think you're getting Wayne's timetable for making announcements confused with it being some sort of secret. I do agree with you on one thing, Wayne is confident.

Okay, okay. Timetable schmimetable. This is fun and all, but someone- anyone- Who are the freaking athletes in PDI and why must their names remain a secret?! Right now it's all just a sh*tload of big talk about the author of The Call of The Wild.

onlyme- please do something to get 240 to spill the beans. Give him a massage or something. And 240, why would Wayne trust you with the names as opposed to, say, someone who actually has something to do with bodybuilding? Even Alexxx would be a better choice.

and where the hell is Special Ed when you need him??

I realise the need for a timetable but if we can know the proposed dates, why not the identity of the promoter. Why is the NY show still not confirmed with the theatre?

The rumor is that 240 has joined the PDI and that is why he has been so vocal in their defence and so critical of the IFBB and many of their athletes - all the ones who are not joining the PDI?. It's also rumored that he's negotiating an exclusive deal to provide web sites for the athletes.
Recent sightings have him at a secret location along wiht Onlyme undergoing training for their roles as PDI Evangelists.

Instead of you asking why hasn't it been confirmed, why not tell us how you know this? Did someone tell you? Did  you call the theater? What did you ask them? From what I gather you spoke with Wayne or at least emailed him. Did you ask him any of these questions? If not, why? This was the perfect time to set the record straight.

BTW, Wayne tried to call you, maybe he had the wrong number, but I'm sure that if you email him your number he will call. Then maybe all of this confusion will become clear.

Yes I spoke with the Theatre. They said the show has not been confirmed.
Yes I asked Wayne. All he asid was who wasn't running the show!

It sounds good Kev.
we'll have an alternative church where to go.
There are rumors, but there are so many infidels around, about the Church of the IFBB Believers.

Glad you showed up. Do you have the number of the place you got your ticket for the NY show?
Quite a few people are interested and I'd hate for them to lose out

Cheers

Some people seem overly enthusiastic about uncovering details, whilst the majority couldn't care less until its a real federation with athletes.

Until then, this discussion is a waste of time.

Any "name" that might tentatively be interested is surely not going to want this to be known just yet (and by "name" I mean someone with something to lose should it not go ahead)

Question:

When and how did Wayne Demilia suddenly become such a hero and savior of competitive bodybuilding when for years he reveled in and cashed in on promoting essentially the same old, same old bodybuilding shows under the IFBB guise?

And how is he or his shows (if they ever take place) going to be any different under PDI to what they were before?
Lies, damn lies and diets

By the way, I don't sell ticket for NoC.
You should call or email Wayne to know how, when, where and how much.

The Olympia venue in 2005 was a complete disaster.  I could have put on a better venue myself and I am dead serious when I say that!  And guess who WASN'T promoting it any more.
Yes, you are correct, Wayne was not promoting the show. But the prize money available was the highest ever. Doesn't that count for something
Increasing the prize money didn't make a bit of difference to the fans attending the show.  What we saw were the obvious cuts made by AMI/IFBB; a downgrade in hotel/facilities, the expo 5 miles away, charging to enter the expo, increased ticket prices, & cuts/consolidation of events.  Raising the prize money only counts for something if you can also maintain the quality of the event.

And how about helping incresing the prize $ for the other shows.  Like it makes a dif if Ronnie or Jay make $2500 more.  Add the money to other shows where it is needed.

A new fed will die.  IFBB will live.  Photographers know everything.  and what they dont know they ignore
IFBB will admit nothing.

Because your claim to have a seat for the NY show is as honest as the rest of the garbage you write here.
I have soken to Wayne:

"I don't know who the guy is, We don't have any tickets for $50!

Rows 4-9 are the VIP package and they are selling very well for $200. Lots of people on these sites are saying things that I am suppose ! to be doing that I know nothing about. I find it all quite amusing."

Many have said the Mandalay was amazing because you shared a hotel with the pros.  Ex-greats were everywhere.  Now, the Orleans is a dump, many of the athletes won't even stay there, and the whole thing is inconvenient.  It used to be, the BBers took over the hotel, the club, and the weekend.  Now, NO ONE has said it's just as nice.  Everyone seems to agree it's a downgrade.

The purpose of the first post was fine Kevin, I just didn't understand the reasons for the mockery.  I know a little bit more about the situation now, so it's been pretty well cleared up.

But from what I can tell, the PDI won't be going anywhere fast, so it shouldn't even be worth worrying about.

I wouldn't agree that I was mocking the PDI, it was more of a parody of their announcements and their small band of very vocal supporters who take great comfort in attacking the IFBB, AMI/Weider. Bob Chic etc. but if you dare to question anything about their hero they'll gang together like a pack of bitches.

I've spoken to Wayne, potential promoters and sponsors, and they have cleared up any doubts I previously had about this venture.
