New Balance is good for the wider foot. They make a low priced sneaker, which is what you mostly see people wear. If you want their running shoes, which are actually quite good, you have to fork over some serious dough. I have a pair of 890v4 to run in (I'm not a runner but my MMA school makes you run a bit as part of your overall warmup). I also have a pair of NB sh*t kickers that I wear just on errands and the like. Big difference.

Because not all people are convinced by marketing that just because you have a swoosh on your shoe and you overcharge by 100 bucks makes your shoe a high quality one. Go a head and buy addidas or Nike if you want. But your buying junk.

I've always ran in Nike Trailwinds and Reebok DMX's. My one girlfriend who was a marathon runner bought me New Ballance. They fucking sucked ass. Felt like I was running barefoot. No support. Now that was 1996. I don't know if they have changed but I never bought a pair since.

What about Sketchers? You know the pure white ones that the Hooters Girls wear? They must be good since all those girls are wearing them?

The majority of their shoes are made in Asian countries like China. As far as I know only their high end expensive running shoes are American made. They use to have a massive contract with the military to supply running shoes but I think they lost it.

They make about four million pairs in the US.
