For fellows that are in the supplement industry(not named Vince Goodrum), does Blackstone still sell well? I've always assumed that most of the profit in these newer companies was driven by the grey market energy supps and prohormone end. Are they really doing that well now that those areas are getting more governmental scrutiny?
The reason Blackstone Labs sold so well has really nothing to do with products. Everyone and their uncle sold prohormone. The key was all about distribution. Any business could sign up and open a dropship account without having to keep inventory in addition to an aggressive campaign on Amazon So in a matter of a few weeks, anyone and everyone had an opportunity to sell their products and pocket some cash and ultimately sales poured in where it was pretty easy to bring in 9.5 million in revenue in just one year.
The only problem was that they got greedy, cut off the dropship network with no warning along with any products from being sold on Amazon and put in strict MAP internet pricing so they could get bulk orders from Mom & Pop shops.
Ultimately, Blackstone Labs is not making as much money as it was before and in fact, its is prob losing money. The company has 27 employees in all which is way too many at this point and the Mom and Pop shops are pretty much saturated although with the fact that Blackstone is actually undercutting these shops with satellite stores and Google ads. So no, its now a shell of itself which eventually will be just another brand under Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals.
You're welcome
