Phil Heath - If he wins 9 Olympias, Will He Get Proper Respect?

Yes, I know he's pretty disliked, but it's hard to bring someone down who has the record for Olympia wins. Better than Ronnie Coleman, better than Lee Haney, better than Arnold, better than Dorian. That's IF he gets 9.

No, because his competition has always sucked.

Kai was a perennial runner-up due to his background. He was never a true threat for first.

Phil doesn't get respect now, but he will get the respect after he retires. It happens to all champions. Will breaking the record make him the best? No.

I doubt he gets there just due to wear and tear. People don't like him and not just the fans. Also he looked terrible for at least 2 of those wins and people won't forget that. It wasn't just that he was off he did not look good.

Also I don't see him getting respect and being liked after he retires. He's not likeable

No respect for Bloofy, never.


Lots of respect for Arnold, Dorian, Ronnie, Cutler, Kevin Levrone though.

Even Roelly has more of my respect (due to the crowdpleasing drunken sailor-dance) than Pill Heath.

Heath is ugly! There was a time, a long time ago, that body builders wanted to look like Greek Gods. No more! Now they want to look like ugly shit "persons." Hearth should die, for the sake of humanity, not just body building. Ugly, is disgusting.

This. He's unlikable, plus there will always be the question of competition. "What competition did they face?" will be the question that a lot of these new guys face going forward.

Phil could win 10 OLympias, and be filmed getting blown by every top 10 pros' wife or gf and it wouldn't help.

People within bodybuilding have a fixed opinion of him and the current level of competition.
I think the current top pros are impressive, BUT, perception is 90% of ones' reality.
