Donnie Osmond?

Stoney Lee Grimes, tried a bunch, but couldn't get it all to click. He got in tight with Bill Phillips, and wrote for MM2k/Muscle Media a bit. Last I remember he sightly sour about his time in bodybuilding.

Anyone remember the article in a '90s edition of Flex by Kahn N Singh Julian Schmidt where the writer tried to pretend that after a workout this guy drank beer rather than protein shakes due to his (supposedly) Viking background? LOL!  ;D

"And after you've finished drinking beer, what happens...?

We drink.

What do you drink?

More BEER!"

Funny how everyone of these bodybuilders from the past were all "great guys" yet all of the current guys are ASSHOLES.

Sorry if Jon has been mentioned previously (too damn busy to look it up) but here's a photo of BOSTIN's dad (JON LOYD) taken in the 1970's.

I asked Bostin about his dad and he did confirm that he hurt his back back then and had to give up serious competition but I failed to ask him how his dad did while competing.

Anyone know?

Any constructive/destructive criticism would be interesting. A great physique for the early 70's.

Have DOUG STROHL or ED HOLOVACHIK been mentioned yet?

CHUCK SIPES?

How about the real young kid with the great potential future who passed away in Florida maybe about 12 years ago?

(Sorry about the morph)

Yeah great bloke I agree.  Although I remember an interview where he explained that as a British Gas Fitter he worked 12 hours a day, trained for 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the evening, and also got 12 hours sleep a night!   ;D

Was Stoney a father, or a relative, to current Canadian pro Regan?

Knew Bob well when he was at Dan Mackey's gym (The Gym) in Ventura and then later at Oxnard Fitness Center in the early 80s. Very strong guy.

No, Stoney was from Texas, I want to say Galveston. I'm pretty sure there's no connection.
