Trump is already a billionaire, he already has all the connections he wants, and this isn't about profit or enriching himself.  One of the things I like about him is lobbyists (who control Washington) cannot control him.  IMO, he is doing this because he likes to be in charge, likes to run things and has been very successful at it, he thrives on challenges, has a big enough ego to truly believe he can lead the country and make better decisions, and he is a narcissist...which can be both good & bad but explains why he is running.  Everyone who leads has some degree of confidence/narcissist in them.  He is definitely not my favorite candidate but no way I could vote for Hillary, especially seeing everything that has been uncovered the past few months.

Switch parties to show them you're not going to take their shit anymore. Sounds like demanding something to me, much like a strike. Lack of a certain demographic voting in an election shows nothing. A certain demographic switching parties would certainly wake some politicians up.

What they should be demanding is an opportunity, not the handouts that create generations of dependents who need the government from womb to tomb.
