what are you gonna do when your own hair turns gray? Your gonna have black tattoo on top and gray on the sides

lot's of folks are gray at the sides. My hair looks white from a distance. Up close is a different story....more "salt and pepper."

Aside from seeing photos where the hairline looks somewhat artificial, it seems like a great idea, if you don't like the real bald look.

I thought about getting this done but opted for a transplant instead (which I got done earlier this year). SMP helps frame the face but it leaves you stuck with the same look for the rest of your life.

Mine was $2,600 and it took two sessions. But prices can range anywhere from close to 1,000 to a bit over 3,000 depending on how much work needs to be done.
a tattoo would have been cheaper, and its exactly the same.
"micro pigmentation", fucking mug...

Have you ever seen people with tattooed eyebrows which look completely fake? Before I'd submit to a tattooed 5 o'clock shadow on my head, I'd need to feel very confident about the quality of the tattoo artists work, no matter whether they call it micropigmentation or just a tattoo.

micro-pigmentation is just a posh word for a tattoo.

Going to a tattoo artist and asking them to replicate smp wouldn't work.  The type of ink, needle, and method it is applied are completely different.

Looks good.

Far less complications and hassle than a hair transplant.

While it looks okay....im worried for you how it will look in years to come when the ink starts to turn color and blur, It will definiately look like shit when you're older I can gaurentee that.

And exactly what buddy says, it is just a fancy word for tattoo.  micropigmentation? really....its a fucking tattoo.  And theres tattoo parlours out there doing the exact same work with results for less.  These clinics acting like doctors are scam artists cashing in on this fad.

The ink used for smp doesn't change color...Over time, usually about 5 years, it will lighten up some and touch up procedure could be done. The reg tattoo ink would most def turn more bluish over the years.

Check out this blue head, after SMP from recognized doctor.  Poor fella.

bcs visually it frames ur face and u dont look like a meat helmet where it's unclear where the face ends and the cranium starts

This.We process faces in 3rds, when the upper 3rd doesn't end it isn't as attractive as having hair or even appearance of stubble to frame the face.

Yeah I've seen a few of those while researching the procedure. As with any industry there is good and bad and you have to make sure you are dealing with a reputable place. Any SMP provider using regular tattoo ink, or without the proper equipment, training, and experience, will jack up your head.

My buddy got a transplant 3 years ago. His hair to me looks exactly the same. Maybe a bit more cabbage but still looks like he's losing his hair. And he was barely balding. Also once you get the transplant you got to go on all those prescription lotions etc for life. Who knows what that shit will do to you long term. idk

Look at Tiger Woods. Probably worth 500 million and has had transplants and all other types of hair replacement systems and looks like shit today. Tiger should get micropig done...
