Like TA said, check connections first.  Then battery, ideally load test, but could charge/jump/parallel another on and see what's what before firing the parts cannon.

Oh, I put a new Duracell Battery in it last month so it definitely wasn't it.  Just turned the switch and no cranky panky.  I'll fix it Monday when I have time as I still have Taurus to drive around.

You still have to read the new battery to rule out a current leak or bad alternator.  Get reads on the starter as well to prove connections and relay.

You haven't stated any numbers so I'm guessing you don't own a multimeter.  The dirt cheap ones are fine for yard mechanics so go spend a big $10.  It's an essential diagnostic tool.  Maybe it'll turn out to be the starter but without some readings you're just guessing.

There's a whole 'thing' about voltage specs across starters if you're feeling that dedicated.  Starter brushes are easy.  Some solenoids are serviceable, some aren't.

(I have 2 cars, wife and 2 kids cars (3).. So 5 vehicles to maintain.

1. I work long hours, though I do have of it at home.
2. On weekends, wifey and I like to go out, party, etc...
3. Im pretty lazy when it comes to shit like that.

It's not like I just gave him some ok advice.  What I gave him is the correct answer.  You read voltages until you identify the fault, and you do it before buying parts.  That way you buy the right parts.

Safest most reliable way to check voltage is straighten a paperclip, wet it and stick it on the part your testing.
