When someone is given a prime speaking spot at the convention, they shouldn't make it about themselves. That's what launched Obama's candidacy (as lousy as he was). He nailed his speech. Christi not so much.
No Christi should not have done anything to turn down federal money, but he didn't have to fawn all over Obama in the middle of a hotly contested election.
He didn't just go after Rubio. He savaged him. What if Rubio would have won the nomination? I have the same criticism of Jeb. Spent way too much money attacking his own party.
All of these things, along with the bridge cases, made him a little toxic. We cannot solely blame the media for his demise.
Obama was chosen to be the negro president, by the crooked dem party, and the leftist MSM. MSM also supported Jeb Bush, a RINO globalist, but the people rejected him. If Rubio won, then he probably wouldn't be talking to Christie.
The MSM made it look like Christie was "fawning" over Obama, by only showing videos of Christie and Obama, when they were together smiling and laughing. We never saw much else, though I'm sure that there was more.
The GWB story was totally a MSM fabrication. Christie had nothing to do with it. It is what killed his chances, as that's all the MSM bleated about, while totally ignoring the real crimes of Hillary Clinton, and those around her.
