In the days following the election, Trump expressed deep frustration about how Christie was handling the transition. In particular, he vented about how the governor had loaded up the team with lobbyists, the very class of people Trump had campaigned against, with his calls to “drain the swamp” in Washington. The president-elect also noticed that Christie had stocked his team with old New Jersey friends and allies.

There were other issues. President Obama strained the relationship by criticizing the United Kingdom’s colonial heritage, removing a Winston Churchill bust from the oval office, and giving the Queen the gift of an iPod containing all of his own speeches.

It’s been nearly two weeks since the election and Donald Trump has already become more popular.

According to a Politico/Morning Consult poll of registered voters, Trump’s favorability has climbed 9 points since the same poll was taken right before the election, from 37 percent to 46 percent, while his unfavorability rating dropped by double digits, from 61 percent to 46 percent—a 15-point difference.

Trump is also getting high marks for his transition effort. Nineteen percent of those polled believe it is more organized than past efforts and another 34 percent believe the transition is about the same, according to the poll that Morning Consult conducted Nov. 16-18.
"Trump’s favorability among voters has reached new highs since he became president-elect,” said Morning Consult cofounder and Chief Research Officer Kyle Dropp. "This honeymoon phase in common for new presidents. For example, Obama saw about a 20 point swing in his favor following the 2008 election."

It was one of five scenarios for the first round of France's 2017 presidential elections on 23 April, although one that did not include Les Républicains’ Alain Juppé – who remains strong favourite to succeed Francois Hollande as leader.

It was an absurd story to begin with. It came up when he was still a viable candidate in the primaries. It was supposedly done to get back at the Mayor of Fort Lee, NJ, for not supporting Christie for Governor. The mayor of Fort Lee is a democrat. No one expected him to support Christie for Governor. But the Dems went with this lie against Christie:

Hillary - Benghazi!       Christie - Traffic Jam!
Hillary - Secret Server! Christie - Traffic Jam!
Hillary - Pay to play!     Christie - Traffic Jam!
Hillary - Clinton Crime Family Foundation! Christie - Traffic Jam!

And so it went. The media killed Christie on a bogus charge, while perpetually ignoring the crimes of Hillary Clinton. Ironically, it gave Trump his chance to win the Presidency.

The fact is there is a traffic jam at the George Washington Bridge, every fucking day! No one blames the Mayor of Fort Lee ever. The fact is no one knows who the fuck the Mayor of Fort Lee even is! In any case, all the roads leading to the GWB, are either state or federal highways, that the Mayor of Fort Lee has no control over.

The story was made up to destroy Christie's chance of being President, and it worked. But, my Stress Analyzer didn't bleep when Christie denied knowing anything about it. Unlike the way it went off the Richter Scale, when Hillary was in Denial (Liar) Mode. All private investigators use the Stress Analyzer. So do Lawyers, when they are vetting potential clients. There is no evidence that he did either, unless you believe the MSM stories, that Trump never said were correct. Don't believe the MSM! Trump had Christie by his side last weekend. Putting Pence in charge of the transition team, after the election, was something Trump said he would do, before the election. Pence is going to do the day-to-day stuff as Vice-President, and Christie was going to be the interim guy, until the election was won.

Regardless, he became a distraction.  I was a huge fan and he had a lot of potential.  Started to go downhill with his convention speech in 2012.  He was going to be Romney's VP.  Was going to be Trump's VP.  Was going to be AG.  Not sure what he'll end up with, but he certainly diminished his star.
