Would training a weak body part every workout bring it up
« on: November 06, 2016, 01:48:39 AM »
For example say you were happy overall but your arms were lacking. In addition to your usual arm day, would it be helpful to throw in a few sets of arms on days you are working other muscle groups. Would it help, hurt or not matter?

Seems like a classic question about what is over-training verses keeping your routine fresh. In my opinion, you might give adding to your routine frequency for a while to see how it works and feels. It shouldn't take long before you'll know how your arms respond. How well this works for you also depends on how quickly you recover. Younger people often have faster recovery times and therefore can workout a muscle group more often.

Another factor is gear. If you are bulking and supporting this with the proper gear, you should see growth. Whether it ends up being mostly water weight or muscle gain is something you'll want to watch.

Be patient. Nothing happens overnight. Do not swallow crap about miracle gains happening overnight. This doesn't occur in the real world. The one possible exception might be shooting oil into your muscles. I advise against this, although I have no personal experience playing this game.

Best of luck and success in all you hope to achieve.

I started doing it with calves about three weeks ago and haven't seen shit. Gonna shelve the calve exercises for ten years or so now.

From what I've read and have been told is that we exercise our calves every day, pretty much all throughout our waking hours. This makes it hard to stimulate more growth with more reps. What I've found creates the most burn is to fully extend them so the movement is greater than normal. Whether or not this will grow them is unclear.

But calves are a bad example because they are so genetically dependent, you either have them or you don't

So you expect to see a difference in only 3 weeks, bodybuilding does not work for impatient people why dont you go play bridge with some old ladies you should see some quick results from  that.

So you've been doing arm exercises that didn't work, so if you do more of the same will that help? Ah, NO!

Back in the early 90's bodybuilder JJ Marsh, who was known for his huge ripped thighs, said in a magazine that his thighs didn't explode into growth until he started squatting 3 times a week.   So, being a dummy, I had to try it myself.   I did just 5 sets of barbell squats followed by 5 sets of lying leg curls on M/W/F.  It took about a month before I saw noticeable improvements in size.  Mentally though, I burned out after doing it for about 6 or 7 weeks and went back to a normal routine.

If your arms are lacking buy some synthol and inject it deep into the muscle not under the skin this will stretch the fascia which will allow you to grow more muscle over time.

Are you saying the advice isn't correct just because you have a "thing" for the messenger? You are even more idiotic than I imagined.
