Had a better overall look than Cutler. He is thicker especially in the back (rhomboid), and trained more like a powerlifer IIRC. And had Francois not gotten sick, he would have given Flex (he beat Flex at the 95 Arnold) and Ronnie a run for their money, and Cutler would not been a top contender.

Yup, Marko had a great back and an amazing physique. I went to the 98 NOC expecting him to look amazing. But he never came close to nailing that condition again. Then he had all of those injuries.

Marko Savolainen had some of the most remarkable biceps I have ever seen. I never realised his back was that good though. Luimarco shine the spotlight on this guy!

And his bdb, maybe he didn't have the ham detail but his back to me was one of the sharpest, most detailed and dense ever, his Christmas tree was way ahead of his time. Dorians bdb to me though conditioned looked lopsided and lost impact with the inferior arms.

Jean Pierre Fux had a great back.

Fux is up there too, for sure. In many ways, his back is closest to Dorian's in overall shape, etc.
