Amidst all of the media hubbub of the last few days, I found myself thinking 'What's the bodybuilding angle here? For example, I wonder what someone like, say, King Kamali is making of all this?'

So I drop by his Instagram page, and although I find no political discourse I discover to my surprise and delight that he's on a hard-core diet to appear at the Dubai, India Expo 2016 taking place on the 24th of this month. That's a solid 4 weeks hard-core dieting to get Expo-ready... check out the results below and weep O ye mere mortals. 2nd pic was posted an hour ago...

Chances of him taking his shirt off at the event? Inpromptu pose-down with the Camel Crew? Sh1t I wish I was going...

Yes, and at a pace that I speed walk.

I met King in 2007, and he is - surprisingly to some - a nice guy. However, for the sake of his cardiovascular health, he needs to put bodybuilding away.

Why are earth would he go to an Expo? He isn't a professional bodybuilders anymore...more like body-buster. His physique looks like its melting...something from Toxicville, Three Mile Island or Love Canal. Guys got balls the size of boulders or he's just plain stupid. He's not relevant anymore. Maybe if Titus was around they could fight each other in their wheel chairs or something.

King gets alot of flack here but I like him... albeit knowing nothing about him except his physique. Could he lose some weight and be healthier? Yeah, probably. In his prime, he made the most of his physique and was one of the best in the world.

I'll always remember a video of King on the treadmill and he said something like "To all of the haters, everything you say makes me want to train harder. So, to all of the haters... thanks."

This expo is promoted as the largest fitness expo in the Middle East. In addition to Kamali, a lot of stars are going to be there including Kevin Levrone, Nathan deAsha, Mike O'Hearn, Zack Kahn, Sadik, and others. Here is a link to the stars attending:
