Looks like its happening! But what rules? I hope they do it in da cage MMA style. Mcgregor wins in 20 seconds.

Ya i'd give Macgregor a 40% chance in mma gloves. About a 1% chance with boxing gloves. In mma gloves, Mayweather will be nervous as fuck and really on the run...What would a fight like this bring in? 500 million i'd imagine. Mayweather gets 400 and Connor 100 million...Why would either of them not take that fight? Payday is just too bit not to. Keep Dana White the fuck away from it though.

Mayweather will never agree to MMA. If this happens, it's going to be pure boxing and Mcgregor will get his ass kicked.

If it was straight boxing, which would be the only way I could see Mayweather agreeing (which he won't anyway), McGregor is taking a beating. Love him, or hate him, Floyd fought some of the top names in actual boxing, not these kinda sorta decent punchers the UFC puts out.

If it's MMA UFC rules Mayweather will lose in one minute.  Taken down and submitted quick or beaten by ground and pound. In a boxing match he will make Coner look like a journey man beating him to a pulp.  I would like to see Mayweather avoid a take down after getting his legs kicked a couple of times.

Straight boxing and Floyd beats McGregor as bad as me beating Coach playing chess.

Straight boxing with Floyd wearing 20 ounce gloves and McGregor fighting bare fisted?  Floyd all day, every day.  You could give Connor brass
knuckles and it won't change the outcome in a boxing match.

Mayweather is trolling for attention. And people fall for it. I bet McGregor is even in on it.  Mayweather probably called him up and said "watch this".

the politics behind the tv networks, contracts and money distribution etc just one big fucking mess.
Took over 5 years to get Mayweather v Pac done. Little chance of this imo

he's smart, when all the talk was about McGregor after his win, Floyd managed to get all the attention on to himself.
trying to stay relevant.
His comeback is the worse kept secret in boxing and only a matter of time imo, keeping himself relevant to keep people interested in him.

I agree about people falling for the UFC media machines hype about a possible Mayweather vs McGregor fight. Search Google for "Mayweather McGregor" and virtually everything is McGregor calling out Mayweather and even Dana White gets in on it saying "Floyd's never even come close to doing to other fighters what Conor does." ---- this has to be his dumbest statement ever!
