The PC-24 was designed to be able to take of from short unimproved airstrips.
For its maiden flight from Buochs Airport in Stans in May, the PC-24 was off the ground in just under 600 meters (2,000 ft.).  It also has a stall speed of just 81 knots.

Pilatus delightedly announced booking 84 orders in just 36 hr. One of those launch customers is the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia, a PC-12 operator that has ordered four jets and took options on another two.

I know Getbiggers are busy people.  For those of you who don't have time to wait at airports or stop for fuel there's the Cessna Hemisphere.  It has a cruise speed of mach .90 (690 mph)with a range of 4,500.  This rage allow you to fly non stop from the following city pairs:
Chicago to Berlin
Tokyo to Honolulu
New York to Honolulu
London to Beijing

Cessna Hemisphere

Up until now Cessna didn't have the range or cabin size to compete with the best in the world.  This is a big step for them and will allow them to compete head on with Gulfstream and Bombarier.

Does anyone know what it costs to charter a jet? I get these Departures magazines and they have advertisements for time share jets or multi owner leases. Anyways, it's $50k to sign up and then the cost of flights. When I fly with my family, it's five of us. I wonder at what point it is cheaper to just rent a private jet? Serious question for the more affluent getbiggers.

I dont know about you guys but I am going to pre order  a supersonic private jet they will be on the market in a few years the cost is only 120 million it goes one  and half times faster than the speed of sound, normally it take about 7 hours from new york to london but this bad boy will get you there in 3.5 hours, perfect for the busy getbigger.

For the affluent Getbiggers there's the new Bombardier Global 7000.  This aircraft has a range of 7,400 nautical miles and a cruise speed of mach .925 (709 mph).  This gives you enough rage to fly non stop from LA to Sydney Australia, so it's perfect for Mel Gibson.  This is the best business jet in the world period.

For those of you tired of the riff raff in first class on United.  Here's the Global 7000 interior.  That's what an airplane window should look like.

Legacy 450

The Legacy 450 has a range of 2900 nautical miles and a starting price of $16.  It fills the gap between the Phenom 300 and the Legacy 600 and will be built in a new facility in Melbourne Florida.  Flexjet will be adding both the 450 and 500 to their fleet meaning anyone on Getbig could charter one.

Embraer has rapidly grown its global market share of the business aircraft market from 3% in 2008 to 18% in 2013.  The Phenom 300 is currently the best selling business jet in the world.  Impressive performance from a Brazilian company.

The Cessna Denali will compete directly with the Pilatus PC-12.  As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  In this case I would agree with Cessna.  Pilatus got it dead on with the PC-12. It's by far the best single engine turbo prop in the world and there's no need to deviate with perfection.

I'm getting ready to head to Europe on Lufthansa. Me and wifey in business class and the kids in economy. It ain't cheap, but the way they cater to you in first/business on transatlantic flights is bad ass. If they did that on the private jets, it may be worth it, as it's not exponentially more to do so according to what information you've provided in your post. Thanks.

Call me crazy but I've always been obsessed with pc-12, caravans, and twin otters. If I had the money I'd snap up one of those over a gulf stream or falcon.

Turbo props are more fuel efficient than jets and can fly almost as fast, but they will never be as smooth and quiet.  The perception by the general public is that they are cheaper and more outdated.

If you're used to piston powered airplanes then a turbo prop is a huge step up.  I've flown in a brand new Piper Meridian turbo prop.  It was amazing how smooth and quiet the engine was compared to a piston powered airplane.  For reference, the Pratt and Whitney engines in the PC-12 and Caravan run about $800,000 a piece.

I would agree with you, all three turbo props you mentioned are impressive aircraft.  The de havilland Twin Otter is still being produced by Viking air.  They can literally take of and land from anywhere.  They are the jeep of the aerospace industry and very popular with third world airlines around the world.  The Caravan is a favorite of Fedex.  They have a fleet of 241.

As long your clients are impressed by such a display then go for it. Personally, I'd have doubts about any company that didn't roll out an A-380.
