Thomas Scheu is 54 years and 3 Months old (born August 1962).....he is living about 10 Minutes from me (near Koblenz in Germany).
Yesterday i talked with him at his Comeptition Comeback (2 weeks out of the seniors world championships IFBB in Santo Domingo/DomRep). He placed 1. in the + 50 Category.
But the story behind this comeback is that he woke up 1 year before, and wanted to compete in that same Qualifier (held at the intern. German championship in Bochum), when he walked downstairs from his bedroom
he fall down the stairs (6 AM) and ripped of "both" quad-tendoms (at the day of competition). So friends drove him 300 miles with a car to Dr. Ritsch (in Bavaria, who is a chirug and also the German IFBB/DBFV doctor) who fixed the tendoms. After this opration (both legs !) he had to lay some weeks in bed, and than he started at a very low level, but every weeks increased his work. He was also skeptical if he can bring his body back to a good level, and that he competed successfully yesterday is a "little wonder".
Thomas was German "overall champ 1984" (and the guest poser in that championship was "Larry Scott"). 1983 Thomas did guestposing at the Mr. Olympia in Munich (which Samir won). He won World championships 4 time (1 time overall).
hope he peak in 2 weeks to get a result "he can deal with".....
i was sitting about 30m from the stage so the pics where not that sharp....sorry.
