Do you consider yourself an exercise addict?
« on: November 25, 2016, 11:23:38 PM »
I think addiction ultimately means, 'cant stop doing it, even though it makes you weaker.'

I think if I broke a leg and couldn't run or lift anymore I would probably kill myself.  I look at people who don't exercise at all like they're part of an alien species.  These fat fucks will all probably outlive me and lead less painful lives though.

Anyone else feel the same way at times?

Maybe. I don't have much in my life outside of the pipe dream/hope that I'll eventually be jakk4d

I'm an exercise enthusiast.  Not an addict.  It's a fine line.

Sad. improving physicality and all of the benefits that go along with that r to facilitate a full life, and should not be considered an end in itself.

Lift to live, dont live to lift.

I'm a bit jaded, spent the last five years taking care of my dad who got alzheimers in his 50s, died in summer 2015. Life sucks and I like to have my little OCD routine to obsess over to isolate myself from it

Ur a good man, dude – a good son.

I'll tell u.... there are ultimately no happy endings in this world, no dignity in this life. We all wither away or worse. Keep that in mind and find something meaningful.

Wat r u good at? Wat will be your life's work?

No it's more of a symptom of a larger disease.  Like Dr Evil's father, the relentlessly self improving boulangerie owner, I have a hard time "re" "lax" "ing."

Yes, because they live less painful lives than me.

most psychologists say that a structured daily (exercise) routine is good for dealing with grief or other troubles in life.

That is good point. But for me it can also be an escape or release from the day.

X2. I've exercised once in two months. Probably going to just hire a personal trainer soon, as I'm a disgusting fat body.

I am an exercise addict and a heath nut if I see you at the supermarket with junk in your trolley I will lecture you and insist that you put it back.

Agree, I've never really enjoyed training but I'm in the gym 5 days a week.

I only go to the gym 3-4 times a week. Just enough to keep what I have right now. Kinda maxed out as a natural now.

I like to think of myself as pursuing a progressive resistance regimen. What I AM addicted to is the dimepiece pussy I get as a result of my gym efforts.  Chicks just love my rock hard buns. ;)

I like training, probably more so than the results it gives and training is the highlight of my day and always look forward to it but wouldn't say addicted and can easily take a week of here and there when feeling run down

The endorphins help my spinal injuries feel much better and help me deal with stress so I would say I'm somewhat addicted.
