Mark Wahlberg: Celebrities need to shut up about politics
By Ryan Girdusky | November 30, 2016

During a luncheon to promote his new film Patriot’s Day, the actor was asked if he talked about politics. “No,” said the former rapper and that other celebrities shouldn’t either, reported the website Task and Purpose on Tuesday.

“A lot of celebrities did, do, and shouldn’t,” Wahlberg said to Task and Purpose, a website dedicated to veterans.

“You know, it just goes to show you that people aren’t listening to that anyway,”
Wahlberg continued. “They might buy your CD or watch your movie, but you don’t put food on their table. You don’t pay their bills. A lot of Hollywood is living in a bubble. They’re pretty out of touch with the common person, the everyday guy out there providing for their family. Me, I’m very aware of the real world. I come from the real world, and I exist in the real world. And although I can navigate Hollywood and I love the business and the opportunities it’s afforded me, I also understand what it’s like not to have all that.”

He did however claim that if he was on one of the hijacked planes on Sept 11th in NYC, that he would've killed the terrorists and he would've made a safe emergency landing.

At least he admits there is a Hollywood bubble.  Most stars seem oblivious to that fact.  Case in point, Tom Cruise on Scientology.

At the 1:00 mark he talks about being the only one who can help when he drives by an accident.   :-\

I'm glad Hollywood's here to give the rest of us advice on living.

Yup. And he got absolutely roasted for it on the net. No doubt it must have been a humbling experience for him. He also didn't want any part of the movie TED. Thought it was a complete joke even while making it. Seth McFarland basically talked him into it almost guaranteeing him that people will love him in that movie. Seth knew it was going to be a hit with all his Family Guy viewers and that it would get a semi following. Wahlberg reluctantly did it and was obviously glad he did...

I have no doubt he would have, him or Liam Neeson

"and I exist in the real world" Mark Walberg - whose net worth in 2013 was $200 million - enlisted mansion-maker to the stars Richard Landry to create his dream home. Here is a photo of Mark Walberg's "real world" home. He's full of bullshit!

Ol' Marky just getting on the winning side after the result instead of looking like a crying baby like the rest of Hollywood. Smart. No need to hate his success, socialism didn't take hold yet.

Horrendous. Complexity for the sake of complexity. Clearly 200 million still cannot buy taste.
