You would want a positive (relatively, I suppose) number and UE % rising, that would indicate people entering the work force to look for work. That's not happening.

95 million people are out of work...not all are looking...there are millions upon millions who do not want to work for various reasons...but you and I have been over this for years now....your mind will never change BASED ON ANY NEW INFORMATION

One of the reasons why the Labor Participation Rate is going down is due to many people from the baby boomer years retiring or cutting back on working due to getting older.....baby boomers were a massive workforce.....as they age and leave the workforce of course those who are still in their working years are going to be counted in this range...you also have a massive amount of people on disability which is rife with fraud......plus you have adults who are IN SCHOOL which is a lifetime thing now.....when I was a kid it was rare for someone over 35 to be in school....my older sister is 60 and in college....and as a professor I can tell you that many of my students are over 50 and are grandmothers/grandfathers..Also we are a wealthy country...you have those who do not have to work, students, entrepreneurs, etc
