Coming from the UK, I'm jealous of you all because I've only ever had the opportunity to fire shotguns and air-pistols and rifles. (Yes I know that's beta)

But back in '91 I worked with someone who was a bit of a collector and imported stuff (I think it was legally lol).  So I got the chance to hold (not fire) two fairly impressive (to me) guns.  I remember the one was called a Calico, and it had a sort of coke-can shaped magazine.

The other was a really heavy silver automatic pistol of some kind that he said he'd had to get from Israel specifically because the sliding bit of the gun was underneath rather than on top.  He explained this was unusual and was to allow him to mount one of the first big-as-a-telescope laser sights.  Tango and Cash had a lot to do with his purchase I think!    I can't remember what it was called though - I bet one of you guys can tell me?

I'm amazed at the lack of recoil of the Sig p238.  I think a 19 gen 4 is up next but love the Walther ppq grip.

Sigs are pricey, but you get what you pay for... And made right here in ole New Hampshire!

The p238 has a minimal recoil? Looking for something for my wife. Shot a few (ruger .380, s&w 9mm, 9mm xds) and she didn't like them due to the recoil. I told her that you have to practice a bit to get used to it, but she still was not a big fan.

Maybe rent one at the range for your wife to try. I was honestly amazed at how stable and accurate it was. I only have about 200 rounds through it but def impressed.  My gf is going to give it a try and loves the feel (she's tiny).

Funny thing there is a National Park site near  my house an old fort from hundred years back. Anyway back in middle school our class takes a field trip there and in the gift shop a lot of us kids buy a Jews Harp because it's one of the least expensive things. Just went back this year and they are still selling the harp but call it a Jaw Harp.
