It's not all you need.  Exodus doesn't stream live TV/Events.    Be sure to also have a quality IPTV addon for live TV as well as an addon for pron such as Ultimate Whitecream

I don't give a fuck about 'live TV' as it's aimed at stupid people, therefore I stand by what I said re Exodus. Although didn't know about Ultimate Whitecream. Will check it out.

Try Freedom IPTV, Oblivion IPTV.   I think the Sanctuary addon has these and more IPTV ones bundled.

What is Kodi. Is it a box or a USB you plug in. Is it a program just for streaming on a computer

Streaming software you can install on most platforms.
I have it on an android box plugged into my tv. You can just have it on your laptop, phone, tablet, I pad etc

I just downloaded Kodi with the Exodus extension yesterday. Works really well. I watched a couple movies on it.

Kodi is a platform.
Just ebay it and but yourself a box - don't do the stick (not enough memory and you keep having to clear the cache)
Best decision you'll make in 2016.

Not sure what the circle icon is.  Never seen it.

I've been using XBMC and now Kodi since modded original xboxes had it.

Wouldn't use anything else.  Has been running my overnight playlists for over 10 years.

Trying to cut the cable cord here....

Why in the world do I need a Kodi box when I can just plug my PC into my TV via HDMI?

I keep reading online that everyone is buying some Kodi box and installing Exodus on it and "loving it"

WTF are they talking about and how exactly is this any different from a fire stick, roku, or even plugging my PC into my TV via HDMI?

confused...

Technically no different from using your laptop but I just have my smart looking android

box setup so i can watch whatever without having to plug my laptop in and having a cable trail on the floor.
Can also do what I need to on the laptop while I watch my programs. It's just convenience really, my boys use it to play games on too.

but then with Exodus you need:  ???  ???  ???

Setup Real Debrid in Exodus:

    Get a Real Debrid Account
    Open Exodus
    Select Tools
    Select SETTINGS: Accounts
Scroll down to RealDebrid & select Authorisation
Follow the on screen prompt and go to https://real-debrid.com/device and enter the PIN (letters and digits) as prompted
Select Allow when asked if you would like to authorise the Lambda add-on
Once done you can now go back to Exodus and Real Debrid links appear in the content listings

Setup Trakt in Exodus:

    Open Exodus
    Select Tools
    Select SETTINGS: Accounts
    Select Trakt > Authorization...
You will get a popup asking you to visit a Trakt URL and input a PIN
Enter the PIN and authorise Trakt
Exodus will now use Trakt in the My Movies/My TV Shows section

Its just for extra sources for streams.

Exodus usually has enough streams from the get go though.

I'll give you my reason why I use a raspberry pi (2)

.. because I can leave it on, ad infinitum with negligible power usage.

I have a high powered PC and I use my pi overnight to play stuff all night.  When I come back to it, it is sitting there, paused, ready to continue on.  Pretty great for something that uses a maximum of 9w.  Much less idle.
