The solutions and way we go about it involves geopolitics. I treat it with full on skepticism, I am a skeptic at heart. Complicated things require study, why is only the northern hemisphere cooling right now? there is a simple answer that is literally being shown in the video posted. The artic has no land underneath, warm air can displace the polar vortex (this exists, I know vortex seems sciency) which pushes it south, it causes cold air from the artic to travel south as the ice melts in the north. Denying it is like denying the jet stream, el nino etc it's a studied issue and will get worse the more the artic thins.

It wouldn't oscillate unless the artic was warming, it's simply how this works.

It does, but you seem to think a theory means unknown. Gravity is a theory, a theory is a framework that best explains the facts. there are facts, the globe heating is a fact, it has for a decade straight, the mechanism is the theory which explains this fact.

The theory of evolution is simply a theory to describe the facts seen, that is, animals that outcompete others pass on their genetic material, why there is so much diversity, why animals are adapted to their environments etc. these are facts that evolution explains and allows us to make predictions.

Completely agree, the answer must come from a private business that makes it easier to choose non-gas alternatives. It simply has to be better for it to work, taxing people and giving more money to an inept government is not the answer.

There's no debating that the earth is warming. Is that warming primarily caused by humans and our activities? Can we do anything to stop it? Should we? Those are questions that are, to different degrees, still open.

If we can improve the health of the planet (e.g. by not dumping toxic chemicals in rivers) then we - humans, not Americans -  owe it to ourselves and to our species to do so. It doesn't mean we should bankrupt ourselves or impose taxes to allow polluters to pollute.
